The Heidelberg pianist Andreas Ehret turned his back on Germany in 1997 and emigrated to South Korea. Following his first concerts there, he was appointed as a piano professor at a university, and also gives private lessons on the side. By his own account, his new home affords him a comfortable income and a contented life. Bodo Hartwig visited the German musician in Korea and went in search of the secret behind his success.
