Bach in Texas – Central German Baroque Music with an American Accent

The music of Johann Sebastian Bach is surely one of the most universal languages there is – understood almost everywhere, bringing people together wherever they may be. For the authentic “pronunciation” of Bach’s works, a Lutheran congregation in Houston, Texas – Leipzig’s sister city – preserves a tradition of Central German musical culture. In the metropolis on the Gulf of Mexico, this congregation maintains a Bach society and invites German musicians to play on their Bach organ. A feature by Bodo Hartwig.
